I just recently returned from a FAM trip to Alaska to experience our land program and all I can say is WOW!! I had the opportunity to experience all but one of the cities offered in our 23 cruisetour packages. I stayed overnight or visited all the hotels we use and experienced our included tours, motor-coaches & train cars first hand. I could go on and on about how great our cruisetours are but let me sum it up in two words: "Tour Directors". The other cruise lines may have been doing Alaska longer than we have but none of them do it better than we do and the Tour Directors are the reason why. ALL of our tours have a Tour Director or tour guide who is with you the ENTIRE TIME you are on your land tour. You also have the same coach driver with you the whole time. Here's a distinction..... we don't have a driver escort, but two people who are with you the entire time. On the train portion you also have a Train Host who is also there along with your tour guide. (the coach driver is not with you because he is delivering all your luggage to the next hotel for you so you don't have to pack a separate smaller bag to take on the train with you.) These people are the ones who are responsible for the 98% satisfaction rating that Royal Caribbean has on our cruisetours.
